If, as argued by the Attorney General, it is important from a public policy standpoint for that office (and thereby for private litigants as well)[38] to be empowered to proceed under the Consumer Protection Act for egregious violations of the Residential Landlord-Tenant Act of 1973, then the request for such authority should appropriately be addressed to the Legislature. Reversed and dismissed.
