(1957) 47 Cal.2d 852 [306 P.2d 789], we held that an inverse condemnation suit against a city could not be conditioned upon compliance with the claim-filing requirements of the city’s charter. The state statutes fully occupy the field of assessing compensation for condemned property and therefore a city charter cannot make the recoveiy of such compensation more onerous.
