565 charsRegrettably the trial court here gave no explanation for its refusal to certify as a class all those other defendant-tenants against whom similar void judgments had been entered.2 Its determination of this motion does not ap*506pear to have involved any factual issues which turned upon the credibility of the parties, and in truth, respondent did not contest the averments set forth in appellants’ supporting declarations. If, as appellants indicate, the court’s decision was premised upon a belief that it lacked all jurisdiction in the premises, it was mistaken.
