530 charsHUD's final implementing rule for the Violence Against Women Act housing protections, 24 C.F.R. § 5.2001 et seq. The VAWA housing protections (34 U.S.C. § 12491) apply to a defined set of 'covered housing programs' including: (1) public housing under § 1437a of Title 42; (2) Section 8 housing-choice voucher program; (3) Section 8 project-based rental assistance; (4) HOME and HOPWA programs; (5) USDA-RD § 515 / § 521 rural rental housing; (6) Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC); and (7) Section 202 / 811 supportive housing.
