D.C.App., 321 A.2d 562 (1974), we specifically held that substituted service under § 45-906 may not be accomplished by sliding the notice under a tenant’s door. Evidence of the tenant’s actual receipt of notice is irrelevant in a case where the landlord resorts to substituted service under the statute. See id.
