On May 22, the parties to this action agreed that nine months’ rent was due plus the arrearage of $140. It was not agreed at what rate the nine months would be calculated, nor was it agreed what period the $140 arrearage covered. As part of the agreement the bank assented to paying what rent a court might determine to be due to plaintiffs under the circumstances up to $1,000. The record does not reveal how the trial court arrived at the verdict of $1,000. Apparently, it found nine months’ rent owing at $100 per month plus the $140 arrearage, but restricted recovery to the limit set by the parties. *702
