292 charsliable to the tenant, who remains in possession of the leased premises, for three (3) times the amount of the security deposit plus interest pursuant to G. L. c. 186, § 15B (7), or is said landlord merely liable for the return of the security deposit pursuant to G. L. c. 186, § 15B (3) (a).”
